Knoxville, IA – Debbie Clark, 65, formerly of Lake City, died Sunday, October 29, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, November 3, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lake City. Celebrant was Father Larry McCarty and burial was in the Lake City Cemetery.
Deborah Lee (Hunziker) Clark was born on November 26, 1951 in San Diego, CA to Lee and Shirley (Hendricks) Hunziker. After graduating from Lake City High School in 1970, Deborah went on to college at the University of South Dakota and later at AIB in Des Moines. She worked in payroll and bookkeeping at Bob Allen Sporting Goods in Des Moines; APC, Inc. in Ankeny; and Hunt & Associates in Oskaloosa throughout the years. On April 14, 1973, Debbie married Michael Weeks in Lake City, and to this union a son, Christopher was born. Debbie, Mike and Chris were active volunteers with the Muscular Dystrophy Association for many years. Michael died in 2005 and Christopher died in 2006. On October 23, 2010, Debbie married Mike Clark at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Knoxville. Debbie was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
Debbie is survived by her husband Mike of Knoxville, mother Shirley Hunziker of Lake City, sister Sheree (Kent) Easton of Mt. Vernon, IL, and grandmother Bessie Hendricks of Lake City. She was preceded in death by her father Lee Hunziker, husband Michael Weeks, and son Christopher Weeks.
