Lohrville – Laramie Plain, 78, died Friday, January 4, 2019 at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City. Funeral services were held on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Lampe Funeral Home.
Laramie Clinton Plain was born on June 21, 1940 in Arthur, Iowa to Levi and Lucille (Ang) Plain. He was the 7th child out of 14. Laramie graduated from Odebolt High School in 1958. He then entered the Air Force and served from 1958 through 1962 when he was honorably discharged. Laramie lived in San Antonio, TX where he worked as a mechanic at Jordan Ford Garage for twenty years. He then moved back to Iowa and lived on an acreage in the Lohrville area. Laramie liked to work with metal and wood and was an excellent craftsman. He also liked playing card games, horseshoes, reading and spending time with his dogs Pup and Angie.
Laramie is survived by his siblings Beatrice Sparks, Leaworth Plain, Emily Winsor, Dennis Plain, Lois Hester, Genevieve Carlyle, Gwen Lingle, Isabella Blalock, Luther Plain, and Frank Plain and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Joyce Kuhen, Elmer Plain and Harry Plain.
