Lake City – Irma Seeden, 94, died Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Shady Oaks Care Center in Lake City. Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Lake City with Pastor Paul Ferderer officiating and burial was in the Lake City Cemetery.
Irma is survived by her sons Harold (Sue) Seeden of Glidden, and Norman (Linda) Seeden of Storm Lake, daughter Linda (Ed) Ellis of Rockwell City, 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, sisters Marie Dahlquist of Kansas City, MO, and Betty Eilts of Arlington, TX and sisters-in-law Lois Dickey of Lake City and Shirley (Art) Hensel of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence in 2007, brothers Otto and Richard Hansen and sisters Margaret Buttolph and Ann Johnson.
Irma (Hansen) Seeden was born in Bargstall, Germany on May 7, 1924 to Henry and Alvina (Eichmeier) Hansen. On August 22, 1943, she married Lawrence Seeden at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Lake City. Irma was a very active member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church’s Ladies Aid and Bible classes. She loved to bake pies and rolls and she enjoyed playing cards and visiting with her great-grandchildren, grandchildren and children.
