Lake City – Pam Meyer, 65, died Friday, May 1, 2020 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice House in Fort Dodge. Private family services were held.
Pamela Sue (Carroll) Meyer was born on October 1, 1954, in Lake City, Iowa to Earl and Lorraine (Karstens) Carroll. She graduated from Lake City High School then attended Wartburg earning her degree in social work. Pam married Steve Meyer and to this union two children were born, Jeremy and Holly. The couple later divorced. She held a special place in her heart for handicap people and she became close with the clients she worked with at New Hope in Carroll and Opportunity Living in Lake City. Pam enjoyed the simple things in life like flowers and shopping, but her greatest joy was to spend time with her grandchildren.
Pam is survived by her son Jeremy of Lake City and his children Mallory and Kinnick; daughter Holly (Dan) Walker of Scranton and their children Ava and Nathan; sister Alice (Gary) Schrad of Albert Lea, MN; brother Randy Wenck of Lake City; sister-in-law Jean Carroll of Glidden; and aunt Kris (Jack) Molnar of Myrtle Beach, SC. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Steve Carroll and Duane Carroll.
