Lake City – Patricia Clow, 87, died Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Shady Oaks Care Center in Lake City. A private family burial will take place in the Lake City Cemetery.
Patricia Ann (Liesch) Clow was born on December 19, 1932, in Mitchell, South Dakota, to Robert and Ann (Washburn) Liesch. She graduated from Westview High School in Lake City in 1950 then attended AIB in Des Moines. On September 1, 1963, Pat married Robert Clow at Trinity United Methodist Church in Lake City. She chose a secretarial career because of her Aunt Mary and worked for 35 years as an insurance secretary for Lou Sievert, M.K. Green and Lenny Snyder before retiring in 1995.
Pat was a member of the Union Church in Lake City, the church circle and was an active hospice volunteer; and she had the honor of being the Hospice Volunteer of the Year in 2000. She enjoyed gardening, canning, animals, especially cats, and was a pretty good basketball player with a great hook shot. She’d often shoot hoops with her girls when they were growing up. Pat was a good hearted person, and was a great mother and friend who will be greatly missed.
Pat is survived by her husband Bob of Lake City; daughters Roxanne (Terry) Peterson of Alta, Kristy (Tom) Anderson of Rockwell City and Tricia Daniel of Carroll; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Michael Liesch; and sister-in-law Sue Liesch.
